We may occasionally use the X-hour for review sessions or to make up classes. You are expected to keep this time slot available throughout the rem.
Homework: There are two homework components: WebWork and written homework.
- Webwork will consist of three small assignments every week, due the end of Sunday. You can access Webwork through Canvas. (The assignment for Webwork n is called Day (n+1) on Webwork). The first assignment is due the end of Friday September 19.
- Written homework will be due the end of every Sunday. It will be submitted through Canvas. The first written assignment is due the end of Friday September 19.
Exams: There will be two midterms and a final exam.
- Midterm 1 will be Wednesday October 8 in class.
- Midterm 2 will be Wednesday October 29 in class.
- The final exam will be Friday November 21 at 3pm in Kemeny 007.
Grading: Your score will be determined as follows:
- Homework: 45% (15% Webwork, 30% written homework)
- Exams: 55% (15% Midterm 1, 15% Midterm 2, 25% Final exam)
Note that the 'Total' column on the Canvas gradebook does not take this weighting into account, so you would have to calculate your current grade with this weighting yourself.
